Why Didn't Mother 3 get released in the U.S.? (Opinion Question)?
Well see I played the game far enough to know through the story. I'm at Chapter 7 and well the story is amazing, but why wasn't it released in the United States? could it be that the Pig-Masks and Mr. Fassad are a representation of what has become to the western culture? Are Happy Boxes the mind numbing entertainment that effect Tazmily and Most of all the 50 states in the continental U.S.? this question has been argued over my peers and thought hopefully the gaming community in Yahoo! Answers could give me an insight of what they think.
True lack of sales do count for a fact but I introduced the translated version to my peers and they wished it would have released in the U.S. but what about the plot? what do you guys think it relates to?
It could be due to poor sales of the other games in the series, or lack of interest in the US. Many popular games that are released in Japan do not make it overseas due to a lack of interest, or poor sales from the previous games (if it is a series). For example, the Pokemon Trading Card Game for the Game Boy Color had a sequel that was only released in Japan due to poor sales in the US and lack of interest.
