It is almost Halloween and this year I want to have some fun with my guinea pigs. I am planning to give them bits of pumpkins as a treat but I am wondering about how I should dress them up. I don't want to dress them up in anything uncomfortable of something they would not like. I don't want to spend a lot of money! If I can make a costume please give me suggestions. Please leave links and specific details. THANK YOU!!
well, Im 21 now, when I was younger like anywhere from age 6 to 11 my mom used to bring home these funny short stories that had guinea pigs in them. They were dressed in funny costumes and like were taking over the world, or saving the world! I remember them being silly
maybe there was a building on fire and the guinea pig and his friends would help?
I just remember it wasnt a cartoon or anything
Thanks!!
I show guinea pigs in 4H and i am in the costume class. My first year my guinea pig was a hotdog and got grand chamion. Last year they were raggedy anne and andy and they got reserve. I want to do really good this year again and I'm just wondering if anyone has a creative idea as to what to dress my pigs up as? I would prefer to use 2 guinea pigs in it. Something really creative, not them getting married or anything. Thanks!!! all ideas will be appreciated
My husband and I are going to start a family - I know pregnant women should not be around cats, but what about guinea pigs? The vet says it is fine. However, the March of Dimes says you should stay away from all rodents, including guinea pigs as it can be harmful to the unborn baby. Will I be able to clean the cage with gloves and a mask...or do I need to stay away completely?
I have had my guinea pig for a while, and I am not giving him up. Ironically they're my favorite animal but i am extremely allergic to them. I have to wear a surgical mask or my asthma starts up. I also have to wear a special sweatshirt when I hold them. I talked to my allergist about getting immunotherepy (allergy shots) but he told me that can't be done for guinea pigs. I have heard of people getting this done before and wonder if another allergist would do this for me.
Please help. This is extremely depressing! I live in Wisconsin btw.
Thanks SO much!
btw i have been tested already i am alergic to them i want to know about the immunity shots
Today, on the main page on Yahoo, I saw a headline for an article about a guinea pig festival in Peru. I read the article and saw the accompanying photos. The purpose of the festival is to dress up live guinea pigs in costumes, and to eat dead guinea pigs. The guinea pigs are not kept as pets, but are served as food.
I would never eat guinea pigs. I keep guinea pigs as pets, and I think it's kind of gross to eat guinea pigs. Perhaps that's a cultural thing, though.
Has anyone actually eaten guinea pigs? If you haven't, would you?
