How scary is Knotts Scary Farm? ?
My sister invited me to go tomorrow night, and I'm getting kind of freaked out with all the reviews I'm reading.. Do people in costumes really chase you? Are all the rides open? I've been the the regular knotts berry farm in the wonderful SUNLIGHT.. If it matters I'm going to the one near San Diego.. thanks =)
From personal experience, yes, the monsters do chase you. It’s their job, duh! I actually work there so I have some friends who ‘play’ the monsters. Remember, they’re just people having fun too =)
Yes, all the rides are open.. I think the water rides are close because it can get cold at night since Halloween Haunt closes at 1-2AM. The Calico Mine ride and the Log Ride get decorated. I remember it was the Little Red Riding hood theme for the Log Ride. I think this year, it’s going to be something psycho, I forgot.
It’s really fun, no one’s going to kill you or anything! The monsters can’t touch you, you can’t touch them. They’ll take pictures with you. If you don’t want them to chase you, don’t scream. Act like you’re not scared. It works hahaha.

BTW, go on a Friday or Sunday night where the park isn’t packed. Tickets are expensive and you want to get your money’s worth. Lines for mazes and rides can be 2-3 hours long. KEEP THAT IN MIND!

people in costumes do chase you. with fake chainsaws in their hands.

How scary it is really depends on what you find "scary" I have been to Knotts Scary Farm in Buena Park and it wasn’t that scary at all.. Yes, sometimes pple in costumes will chase you a bit or try to jump out at you in an attempt to spook you but if you realize that it’s just some harmless person in a costume & it’s all in fun then you shouldn’t be too freaked out.. Just go with the fun of the night and you will have a great time
it can be scary if you scare easily
but it is very well done and very professional
its not scary at all and if you get scared just take a deep breath and remind yourself that these are just regular people in costumes and stuff

YES! the park is really dark and there is nothing but "fog" the park has some mazes where you can walk thru kind of like a haunted house. there are some crazy looking monsters [clowns, brides, wolfs.. etc] some slide on their knee, some pop out of the trash cans, some even snort and make weird sounds in your ear!!! oh and if you look super scared they will chase you all over! so do what i do i pretend like im not scared and then they dont bug me :] they only go to the people they know they can get a scare out of, that is their job so try to look brave! ;]
